KCVIII & NC comments

Thank you to Alex and Markus for all their work!
The conference and the festival were truly a
fabulous combination - and went off without a
hitch (at least as far as I could tell).

I do have something to add in line with Alex's
remark (which I actually heard from another
conference participant - I can't take credit for
this observation). She noted, and I agree, that
there should have been more publicity about the
conference at the festival itself. I have no
doubt that many festivalgoers would have been
interested in the panels, but there was little
attendance from that front. I know this was a
one-shot deal and KC may not be scheduled with
Nippon Connection again for a while, but it seems
to me that in any case "synergy" should happen
both ways, not just on the scholarly end;-) I
think somehow increasing the audience at panels
would be something to consider for future KC
conferences, wherever they may be held.

As a KC newbie, I truly enjoyed meeting folks
that I knew only from the list, and many others
as well. It's great to put a face to a name. I
look forward to attending again in the future.

Mit freundlichen Gr?ssen,
Melek
