Shukan Bunshun, one of the major weekly magazines, announced the
results of its third Bunshun Kiichigo Awards in its most recent issue.
Those who know Japanese may notice that "kiichigo" is "raspberry"--so
this is in fact the "Japanese version" of the Golden Raspberry Awards
given to bad films. Bunshun polled 32 critics of their worst 5 films of
2006--Japanese and foreign--and came up with the following worst ten
list:
1) Gedo senki
2) Nihon chinbotsu
3) The Da Vinci Code (Ron Howard)
4) Nada soso
5) The Promise (Chen Kaige)
6) Limit of Love Umizaru
7) Now and Forever / Yeolliji (Kim Seong-Jung)
8) Rough
9) Angel-A (Luc Besson)
10) 7-gatsu 24-ka-dori no Kurisumasu
Six of the ten are Japanese, so the critics were pretty tough on hoga.
