> Is there a DVD of Black House available with english subtitles anywhere? 

Last year, several students and I, here at CSUF, got a grant to make subtitles for 10 Japanese films - including Morita's Kuroi ie - both for use in my classes and to share with academics working with those films.

We prepared four Morita films: Tokimeki ni shisu, Sorekara, haru, and Kuroi ie.

In addition, we prepared the following:

Sono's Yume no naka e
Kobayashi's Flic
Shiota's Gaichu
Kawase's Sharasojyu
and Yoshida's Saraba natsu no hikari and Mizu de kakareta monogatari

We're hoping to prepare more films this coming year.
