Self-introduction

Hi,
As requested in the 'Discussion Etiquette', I'm posting a self-introduction.  I am :-

Tunbridge Wells is a byword in England for a place of conservative manners but it's less than an hour into central London where I see most of my Japanese films.  I'm off there in a moment to pick up a couple more at the NFT in their Naruse season - back-to-back, alas.
I used to choose half a dozen from each Japanese season and maybe pick off a couple more later around the country.  But I was busy bringing up children on Naruse's only previous passage to this part of the solar system and could be very long in the tooth by the next appearance.
Naruse is very much of the period of my interest but I take in all the Japanese performing arts that I can find.
