Hikikomori

It's not a film, but the first thing that comes immediately to mind is
the anime TV series "Welcome to the NHK." If you Google the title, you
should easily be able to find episodes with English subtitles for
download via Bittorrent. 

The anime hasn't been licensed yet for the US, but the light novel and
manga on which the show is based have been announced by TokyoPop. (I
think just the first two volumes of the manga are out right now.)
