Dr. Hansen did indeed write
Arnold Fancks Die Tochter des Samurai: Nationalsozialistische Propaganda und japanische Filmpolitik. Wiesbaden 1997
It would be wonderful if this book was available in English translation.
I've been interested for a long time in the comparative study of the film industries in Japan, Italy, and Germany, ca. 1930-1945. So this new book of essays helps fill a major gap for me.
I just purchased a copy from Barnes & Noble online. The price is US$72.00, 64.80 if you are a "member" of B&N, and delivery is free inside the USA, whether you are a member or not. The table of contents from the B&N site is very impressive.
