This is quite possible -- according to the IMDB, Manoel de Oliveira, the
nearest competition age-wise one can think of, who will be 99 on December 11
(and is still an active director), didn't make his first feature *Aniki Bobo
* until 1942 (although he made documentary shorts in the Thirties). I'll be
interested to see if anyone comes up with another living director who made
features in the Twenties or even the Thirties.
