Dear Kinejapaners,
A small question about Oshima Nagisa and his "shinjin shokai eiga" Asu
no taiy? ????? (1959). As some of you may know, this short film
presents several "new faces" from Sh?chiku studios (Kawazu Y?suke,
Tsugawa Masahiko, Kuwano Miyuki, etc.).
It appears that until now this film has always been translated as
Tomorrow's sun (in French : le Soleil de demain), that is, using a
singular to translate "Taiy?". But if you look at the movie, wouldn't
plural be much more appropriate, like Tomorrow's suns (Les Soleils de
demain) ?
Thanks for answers,
