And Japanese cinema in Barcelona....

Just a quick mention for the Barcelona Asian Film Festival, which I was lucky enough to serve on the jury for last year.
They had a great mix of films from across Asian, with screenings in several venues and mainly in evenings and at weekends, so it wasn't quite as exhausting as cramming everything into a couple of days. Barcelona is a fairly relaxed place, so it was easy to enjoy the city in the daytime and the films at night, and still be able to go out for a drink afterwards. ie those in Europe, with the cheap cost of air travel at the moment, could easily make it an extension of a long weekend city break.

They've not updated the website yet, which is www.baff-bcn.org/, so i've no idea what the program is. but this year its running from 27th April to 6th May, and if it was anything like last year, well worth a trip.
