Japan remaking Hollywood?

Not hopeful with this one.

They could have done the story of two annoying hispters from Kichijoji  
trading two Yamanashi-ken girls for true love in the bottle, but  
instead it looks like this film is going for the nakedly-escapist  
angle of putting the heros behind the wheel of a vintage Mustang  
convertible in the Napa valley. Calistoga, even.
