At Sheffield Doc/Fest last week*, besides the Ogawa Pro. retrospective, another film had a Japan media interest. As a Flemish film, it's presumably not going to appear on Japanese cinema websites but it does deal with a Japanese book and anime phenomenon. 'Patrasche, Dog of Flanders - Made in Japan' is a very amusing look at national stereotyping, with the compass-point swinging round as new layers are placed on top.

Some of the Ogawa films are supposed to being shown again at Edinburgh on December 6th and 7th, but there's no web-link that I can find yet.
There was also a brand new film by FUJIWARA Toshi, 'Fence', which deserves a write-up somewhere.
