In a curious bit of news, Sankei and other news services reported  
that the police have arrested the president and one of the directors  
of the film distribution company Root Pictures for running an illegal  
casino. Root Pictures is far from being a major company, having only  
distributed smaller films like Fuko Fukutusu:

On a humorous side, is this a sign that the business is bad? Or that  
that there are few openings for smaller companies in this industry?  
Or that the boom is attracting some disreputable characters?
