Question about Bakeneko/Kaibyo

Dear Martin,

The main difference between the two is that "kaibyo" is on-yomi, that  
is, Chinese pronunciation, and "bakeneko" is kun-yomi, Japanese  
pronunciation.  They mean pretty much the same thing (though not  
represented by the same kanji), but "kaibyo" is pretty much "visual";  
it's rarely used except in written Japanese, and if you used the word  
in a conversation, most Japanese people would say, "What?"
