Alternate Japanese titles outside of Japan

Hello All,

I saw this image with Chinese text (presumably a DVD cover) for the Japanese film The Sky Crawlers - http://bit.ly/5PAJac . As far as I know, the film's official Japanese title is in katakana (スカイ・クロラ, Sukai Kurora). However, this image shows The Sky Crawlers title in Japanese as "Aozora no Gyouja" 青空の行者 (Pilgrims of the Blue Sky, or something along those lines).

This seems odd to me - an alternate title in Japanese for a release outside of Japan. Is this common practice?
