I know this suggests I've been living under a rock for a while, but I somehow missed the arrival of a third Tetsuo film. Will be very interested to see that, not least to see how Tsukamoto approaches the material twenty years after the first one, and after the commercial success of the Nightmare Detective movies.

Donald Richie also tells me there will be a big event celebrating Kurosawa. He'll be joining people like Coppola, Lucas, and Co. on stage. From Rashomon to Tetsuo; strange world.
