Again Aaron hits the nail on the head. I forgot to mention about the 
copyright restrictions...

I am surprised that the network still exists at that price with the lack of 
variety offered.
As far as I know there aren't any other simple alternatives: JNET no longer 
works; there are a few Japan-based sites that stream video but you have to 
purchase a box and meet other requirements. The simplest way to get basic 
channels outside of Japan is to stream it through someone based in Japan :|
