I don't know about the other two universities, but regarding Florida and
Eckerd, faculty has tried to set up screenings for a while.
I think Joseph Murphy may have something to do with it, as he panned out a
mini Japanese film festival some time ago. You can ask him, he's on the
list.
Outside of Universities screenings in Florida are typically sponsored by the
Japanese consulate, and usually held in Miami, although this month they are
venturing to Orlando for this:
J. Fair 2009 - Japanese Art & Film Festival
Date: March 13 at 7:00 pm - Reception
March 14th at 1:00 pm - Doraemon:
Nobita's Dinosaur
3:00 pm - Densha Otoko: Train Man
Where: Orlando Public Library
101 E. Central Blvd, Orlando, FL. 32801
Details: 407-835-7323, http://ld-e.com/jclub/jfair.html
