Just woke up after getting back from Tokyo. I wanted to thank
Aaron, Aki, and Markus, and all the people at Josai
International University, for putting together a superb
conference at such short notice. There was only one day of
panels but I still got to hear some great stuff. And for once
the Japanese papers were the main attraction! Add the film
program on Friday, the USC wrap party on Sunday night, films
in Asakusa and elsewhere, and dozens of new and old
acquaintances at bars all over the city... equals the best
Japanese film event I've been to. Let's do this again!
