Josai Research Center for Japan and East Asia Media Studies

Josai University, the site for this year's Alt-SCMS, is establishing a  
Research Center for Japan and East Asia Media Studies in order to  
promote research exchange on film and moving image media in Japan and  
East Asia. The Center will be opened with a special event this  
November 20, featuring a screening of Spy Sorge with Shinoda Masahiro,  
who is the honorary chair of the Center, and a talk by Sato Tadao.

Admission is free, but they do ask those who want to attend to apply  
beforehand.
