I did a review of the festival on my site:

I personally was unimpressed with Encirclement. It was a 160 minute  
film with literally wall-to-wall talking heads. The topic was  
interesting, but the filmmakers never made it clear in the film why we  
should watch this and not read a transcript. Personally, I thought it  
was a film quite outside the Yamagata tradition. That was part of my  
mild criticism of the Festival.
