Kurosawa homage

The Cinémathèque française has just announced a Kurosawa season for June and July 2010.

All well and good, but, for centenaries, is anyone covering YAMANAKA Sadao this year ?  Alas, it would be a much shorter season, although largely unseen films for me.

  It has been announced that ICF Venice (Sep. 2-12) will homage Kurosawa Akira in his closing centenary with a panel discussion on the 6th: Peter Cowie, Teruyo Nogami, Donald Richie, Michel Ciment and others. Any more interesting events around this important centenary?
