A great lady of world cinema.

I hope that someday her first great performance (at age 7, in shizu's Seven Seas) ) is available on DVD someday.

And we need more of her great performances in Naruse films on DVD too.

NHK TV news just reported that Takamine Hideko passed away on Tuesday of lung cancer.  What lovely work she left us.  FB
