Post-Doctoral Fellowship
International Programs at The University of Iowa announces a Post- 
Doctoral Fellowship in Contemporary Japanese Studies in the Center  
for Asian and Pacific Studies for the 2011-12 academic year.  
Applicants must have completed their Ph.D. within the last five years  
and have a strong research focus in the study of any aspect of  
contemporary Japanese culture and society.  Relevant teaching  
experience at the university level is highly desirable.
The Fellow will be expected to conduct his or her own research and  
writing and to teach two courses per year in the department of the  
Fellow’s specialty.
The appointment carries an annual stipend of $47,000 plus a benefits

additional research / travel allowance of $1,500 is provided.
