2009 Box office

Eiren released its 2009 box office data:

This is the 2nd highest gross, next to 2004. 

It rose 5.7% this year. Numbers of admissions also rose nearly the same amount. 

And Japanese films still beat foreign releases with a 56.9% share. 

A good year. 

It also appears that the multi-plex construction is slowing down a little. 

I'm struck that feature production in Japan has gone from 282 to 448 in less than a decade. Could this be underpinned by technological change? A shift to capture on HD?

So I was wondering if anyone knows if this figure includes straight to video and pink films...
