Aaron usually reports on passings, but let me wear that black hat this time.
Asahi Shimbun (online) reports that Nanonaka Isamu passed on 13 January. Born in 1932, he was 77.
Nanonaka was a voice actor in many television and film anime, including Takahashi Rumiko's Urusei Yatsura.
But he is most famous for the distinctive voice of Medama Oyaji (Eyeball Dad) in numerous versions of GeGeGe no Kitaro series, beginning in 1968.
