Hi!

My name is Jim Harper. I received your email through the KineJapan mailing list. I'm a contributor to Intellect's Directory of World Cinema: Japan, as well as a published author. My fourth book (Dark Dreams: The World of Anime Horror) is due for publication in February (2010). I specialize in cult and horror cinema from around the world, including Spanish, from the exploitation films of the late 1960s and early 70s to the recent revival following Amenabar's Tesis/Abre los ojos, Balaguero's Los sin nombre, and so on. I noticed Tesis on your list, so I thought I'd inquire whether you would be covering Spanish horror. If you are, I'd be happy to supply reviews. I can provide samples of work if necessary (or you can check out the Directory of World Cinema: Japan on Intellect's website- I wrote the opening essay in the horror section and half of the following reviews).

Anyway, thanks for your time!

Jim Harper.

NOW AVAILABLE: Flowers From Hell: The Modern Japanese Horror Film, by Jim Harper (Noir Publishing).

"Fascinating overview of the Japanese horror boom... Comprehensive, in-depth and slickly presented."- DVD Monthly.

Available from Noir Publishing, Amazon.co.uk, Waterstones and all good bookstores.
