Not me, but I do know that Prof. Paul J. ANDERERS, at the Department Of East Asian Languages And Culutres (EALAC) of Columbia University, is writing a book about KUROSAWA Akira's black and white films and their relationships to Japan's Post-War and Japan's silent film making era.

Greetings all,
Michigan is showing a season of Kurosawa Akira films next fall. I'm hoping to bring some scholars in to talk Kurosawa, if the Center buys the idea. Is there anyone out there doing new work on Kurosawa these days? I'd like to know about what you're up to.
Markus
