Connecting at Nippon Connection!!!

Hi, Anna,
I haven't booked hotels yet.  But I thought I'd mention on the list that I'm connecting from Nippon Connection to catch most of Udine.  You can get a train from Frankfurt, changing at Munich/München which arrives in Villach late afternoon.  That's an hour's bus ride from Udine.  I've booked a train ticket for Monday 1st.  There are no buses to Udine then until the morning, but the historic stuff tends to be shown at Udine in the morning and there's an early enough bus to catch them.  I didn't think a night in Carinthia would kill me, and there's always hiring a car - or persuading them to come and get us - if there's something must-see on Monday night.  The cheapest fares of €39 seem to have gone for that day and the standard fare is €79.

    I am lucky enough to be in Germany at the end of April, and will therefore be making every effort to be in Frankfurt as much as possible between April 27 and May 1.  I am assuming some (hopefully many!) of you all will also be there, and with that in mind, I'm wondering if anyone can either offer me a couch (or half a couch?
