Old girls on film

Has anybody mentioned "Sanbaba" (Nakamura Noboru 1975)?  Very mainstream but unusual, it is still done today onstage.  Kogure Michiyo, Tanaka Kinuyo & Mimasu Aiko (2 career singles & a widow) join forces to grow old together, and do.  They are covered from middle (40/50s) to extreme old age.
