Stuff on Tsuri baka nisshi

Dear all,

A colleague working on popular Italian cinema is looking for comparative perspectives and has stumbled on the Tsuri baka nisshi series and would like to find more information/writing on the series in English. The only reference to it I have come across myself is in Aaron Gerow's article on representing Okinawa on film. I will be very grateful for any suggestions.
