Dan Oniroku

 Some of you may be interested to know Dan Oniroku passed away yesterday 
 at the age of 79 due to cancer. Dan, the godfather of SM in Japan, in 
 his long career also wrote scenarios for many films, even directing or 
 acting in a few by himself. More than fifty SM themed films, including 
 many Nikkatsu productions, were based on his writings and in most cases 
 feature his name (and the inevitable term 'nawa') in the title.
