The Department of East Asian Languages and position in Japanese film, new media, and visual culture, expected to begin on July 1, 2012. The teaching duties will include four courses a year at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The ability to teach undergraduate courses in Japanese and East Asian film is expected but scholars with research interests in multiple areas (such as literature, subculture, modern/contemporary thought) are welcome to apply. The candidate must have the Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment.
