Was there ever a call for papers for this? I'm sure I never heard about anything.SOAS seem to be remarkably good at keeping any conferences or discussions about Japanese media firmly within SOAS.

Dear Colleagues, below is the link for a conference to be held in SOAS, University of London, from February 16 2012.  There were be panels on things Japanese, but the conference aims to look at all Asia and Africa.  Do register and come if you are interested in the theme.
