Out of sheer curiosity -- What were the Asian films they _Liked_?

 Floating Weeds.... 
 I have fond memories of that film. I gave a
 survey to the students of a course on East Asian cinema that
 I was teaching (nearly 20 years ago!). I asked the students
 to list their favorite and least favorite movies.
 
 
 100% of the class listed the color version of "Floating
 Weeds" as their most hated film of the year.
