Toho will produce a domestic Godzilla for release in 2016. Interesting choice of directors: Higuchi Shinji and Anno! I like that. This is, I think, the 29th outing for the beast. 

While this is going on Gareth Edwards will produce another American G. Interestingly enough, it's titled Godzilla 2, ignoring the Japanese lineage while suppressing the horrid 1998 Godzilla from Tristar. 

Also, if you run to the Steagaya Art Museum, you can see one of the actual Godzilla suits, as well as the original Oxygen Destroyer!
