   - 関 未玲、映画『ヒロシマ・モナムール』はどう受け止められたのか ―広島像をめぐって― ~>> this essay gives a lot
   a quotes and information about the reception in 1959. It also points out
   the issue with the title including the word Hiroshima. It has been
   translated then as a “24 hours love affair” (二十四時間の情事). Only recently
   the movie has been promoted with the title in katakana French
   「ヒロシマ・モナムール」
