[KineJapan] Hybrid Festivals in New York

This year two significant festivals featuring recent Japanese films that
are generally held in New York in July were moved to August. Both will be
presented in hybrid format with significant online portions available
across the US. Please note COVID restrictions for all in-person
screenings.
The New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF), celebrating its 20th edition,
runs from August 6 to 22, 2021. In-person screenings will occur at the
Walter Reade Theater (Lincoln Center) and the SVA Theater (School for

Starting shortly before the NYAFF completes is the redoubtable Japan
Society's annual JAPAN CUTS program runs from August 20 thru Sept. 2. Its
