[KineJapan] ReFocus: International Directors series

Thanks for mentioning that series. Actually, Aiko Masubuchi and I are working on a proposal for the series centered on Obayashi Nobuhiko. We’re hoping to develop it through a workshop, hopefully at Yale next academic year. So keep tuned for more news!

So far there is no Japanese director represented. I selfishly think it would be great if one or two scholars on this list would consider proposing a volume on Masumura Yasuzo, for example, among any number of other candidates.
