[KineJapan] Kinema Club conference date question

Dear All,

Hopefully everyone is well. I’m writing to ask if anyone is planning Kinema Club events next year (and if so, when). The reason is that Yuka Kanno and I are planning an event in Kyoto in early August (a hot time of year, we know…) – more on the theme and format soon.

The other is that with Nippon Connection’s 25th edition is coming up next year (May 27-June 1), and I thought it would be a good opportunity for a more informal “future of the field / what is everyone working on right now” kind of workshop – with of course the opportunity to catch up on film from Japan and meet some of the (if it is anything like last year) well over 100 filmmakers from Japan in attendance.

However, two Kinema Clubs in a year is a lot and these KC’s shouldn’t monopolize the year or intrude on others’ plans. Is anyone else planning something, either at these times or otherwise? It would be great to coordinate!
