I got a Muslin moth in the Heath actinic trap this morning, and on April 19th a
moth which bore a striking resemblance to a Green Pug, not normally flying until
June.

I have also been sent a photograph taken last summer by Brian Jessop at Tring
Park, Hertfordshire, of a reasonably fresh-looking male Meadow Brown (Maniola
jurtina) with white hindwings. Does anyone know if this is a named variation of
the Meadow Brown? Not surprisingly, it had suffered attacks by birds.
