This message is from Joy Edwards <edwardsj at hanover.edu>, a Clerk from Indiana.

I have found a moth sleeping during the day. It appears to be almost standing on its head with its tail curled up over its back(like a scorpion), and its wings held vertically,
perpendicular to the surface it is sleeping on. It has very
furry legs. I wish I could draw it for you
It is mottled brown and black

Very interesting. Can you help me. I have looked for a picture of it on the web but haven't been able to find it.
thanks, Joy
