moth ID

[Gretchen Meyer]

A neighbor was recently cleaning out a birdhouse and found that it was
infested with moths.  there was some debris in the birdhouse and the
moths had pupated within the debris.  About 10-15 moths had emerged
within the birdhouse.  They were grayish in color and about 2 cm long, or
somewhat less.  I was unable to tell my neighbor what these moths were.
Anyone have any ideas?
