First date in the Rothamsted light trap here at Monks Wood this year was
3 on 16th April. Not only are they early this year, but to date there have
been about 15 in the trap which I think is about double the total for the
trap since it was set up in 1974!! I have also had several at home in a
suburban garden near St Ives (Cambridgehsire), one to the kitchen
window (24th April) and at least two to my MV trap (1st May) which I
have been putting out once or twice a week since the beginning of April.
