greasy specimens

I recall the earlier thread on this subject, and as Kenelm has pointed out,
ethyl acetate has been suggested as a viable degreaser for this purpose. I
didn't mention it at the time, but I have on at least a number of occasions
found that several specimens left in vaporized ethyl acetate for extended
periods (on the order of a few hours) have been excessively greasy - to the
extent that I often blamed the solvent. It seemed odd to me that one solution
to the greasing problem would be the same solvent that seemed to promote the
excretion.

I could be _all_wet_ on this however.

Mark Walker.
