Hi all

A most interesting debate on scientific names and their pronunciation, I think I'll stick to my own pronunciation whether right or wrong, until someone comes up with a better idea. Do feel free to grab a scientific name spellchecker from my website..
A couple of new sightings for the year for me anyway down in Devon. Yesterday 31 March saw a fresh looking Red admiral, Vanessa atalanta (possibly as a result of the recent southerly winds) and also a freshly emerged Holly Blue, Celastrina argiolus. Anyway I'm going to the Sierra Nevada (Spain) for a couple of weeks where I reckon Spring will be well underway.
