My thanks for the comments by Ken Philip on the Lacey Act etc. The 
bureaucratic aspects of all this are bewildering and I have not had much
opportunity to look into it all. I obtained a copy of the Lacey Act a
couple of
years back and wondered if a even a lawyer could make rational sense of
it all.

Does Ken or anyone else know what happened to all the material that Fish and 
Wildlife confiscated  from collectors (and I heard they confiscated material
from institutions as well) under the Lacey Act?
