everes vs cupido

[Kondla, Norbert FOR:EX]

recently heard that in europe/asia the species of genus everes are now being
placed in the genus cupido. can anyone provide literature citations that
present the rationale for 1) separating the two at the genus level and 2)
lumping the two into one genus. also welcome would be any other information
or opinions on this issue. thank you
