This is Liz Day, writing from a friend's account because I can no longer use
mine.
Please unsubscribe me (I can't do it myself and can't access the address of
the
listowner either).  Please do not send me mail as I'm no longer online and
won't
get it.

On Tuesday, IQUEST, my idiot former ISP, permanently disabled the shell access
 for all their
customers without warning.  Thus, as my machine is not capable of PPP or SLIP
connections, I suddenly could not access my account in any way.  I found this
incredibly obnoxious, as presumably bounced copies of mail to me are getting
sent to all the lists I was on, and I can do nothing about it, except to send
this letter
and hope the owners will unsubscribe me.

It was good being online with y'all, and I'll talk again when I get a new
account with
a different ISP.   Merry winter holidays!
