Can anyone eventually confirm that the mourning cloak, nymphalis antiopa,
is distributed in Venezuela? For instance James A. Scott ( The Butterflies
of North America, 1986) mention that the species ranges south to Venezuela.

It must either be an isolated population somewhere in the mountains of the
country or stray records.
The species was observed in Guatemala in 1978 and 1992 and was reported for
the first time in El Salvador in 1994. But still there is a long distance
down to Venezuela.

What about hosts in Venezuela?
