John, I'd love to go on such a trip.  The trouble with these trips with
the TNC, however, is that the last time I looked, a portion of the cost
was a donation to the TNC.

I'm poor and could barely afford to go at all; I like the Nature
Conservancy (am a member), but am not willing to donate several hundred
dollars (I believe it was) in order to go on an already budget-bending
excursion.  There would have to be something unique about a TNC trip, vs. 
all the other possible ways to see the tropics, which are already plenty
amazing, to be worth that.

If this situation has changed, please tell me.
